These are great. My wife (our resident tea drinker.). found them larger than she liked.However. I found if I cut them in half and then used our Food Sealing machine's heat sealing bar, I could close the bags. (Not incidentally doubling the bags to 200).My wife's a happy camper now, and so am I (the two, of course being linked.{Grin}).GREAT PRODUCT.
I also use them to make my coffee/tea in my mug to go when rushing out the door in the morning. These filter bags are great for home and travel for when you don't want to use or carry a permanent filter. For travel, when space, weight and convenience is at a premium: I carry a small stack of these in the smaller individual size to make my own tea and coffee (French press style: coarse ground, 2 tablespoons per cup) when traveling. When done, I can dispose of these in the green bins for organic waste. For home: I use these for spices and herbs that tend to leave an aftertaste on my permanent mesh filters or for herbs that tend to distintergrate into a mess. These are convenient, lightweight and environmentally friendly (non-bleached) and come in a variety of sizes. Highly reccomended.
Easy to use, no mess and great tasting tea. The best part.
I tried a tea ball, a wire mesh filter, just plopping the leaves in the water. everything I tried ended up making a mess and leaving bits of leaves in my tea.
When I first started using loose leaf tea, I tried all the little gadgets available before finding these little bags. Depending on the size you can either do 1 or 2 cups or a large pot.
While I do want more fiber in my diet, this was not what I had in mind. These sacks are perfect -- they allow room for the tea to properly brew within the bag, but don't let any pieces escape.
When the tea is brewed to your satisfaction, just give the sack a squeeze and toss it. The best of both worlds.
These allow me to do just that. and I do plan on buying some large size for making larger pots of tea. Although I have not used the large size, I do use the Extra Slim size (not offered at Amazon- bummer). And like other reviewers said - loose leaf tea beats the powdery overpriced bland prepackage stuff by a mile in quality AND cost. These filters are inexpensive and NO floaty bits left behind to pick out of your tea. I love mixing loose teas to make my own blend. Even figuring in the cost of the tea bag. Enjoy.
Using loose tea is the cheapest and highest quality way to brew tea. These bags are easy to use and large so you don't have to use multiple bags for a whole kettle full of tea. Perhaps best of all, they produce a good taste and they're cheap.
